The Procurement Manager will serve as lead support for the Director of Procurement and Asset Management and aid in the efficient planning, management, and coordination of the City’s centralized procurement system. This position performs technical and administrative work to support the Procurement Department and is responsible for complex procurements, internal collaboration, and training. The Procurement Manager is responsible for supervising lower-level procurement staff, assigning tasks and projects, reviewing work, and assisting staff with the prioritization and completion of assignments.
This position is classified as an exempt, full-time position with a 40-hour workweek.
This position receives general guidance from the Director of Procurement and Asset Management.

MINIMUM EDUCATION AND TRAINING
Possession of a Certified Professional Public Buyer (CPPB), Certified Public Procurement Officer (CPPO) as recognized by the UPPCC, or a related certification is required of the position. However, candidates without current certification will still be considered, provided they meet the qualifications and obtain the required certification within 12 months of hire. Certification must be maintained throughout employment;
